We have opportunities for one-off visits to Kibera to observe a Girls’ Empowerment Group, which meet every day Monday through Friday except Wednesday, generally at 3pm.
We will give you an orientation, share our 10-minute documentary, and ensure you have a safe experience led by our Field Officers.
Here are some of our requirements:
- A donation of $20 for a visit to off-set our costs, for which we will give you a receipt
- No photos may be taken during the time so as to not be disruptive to the class and to simply experience the moment first-hand rather than through a camera; however, you can access our database of photos
- Please be on time. If you are late we will not wait for you – respecting the students’ time is our #1 priority
