Culture of Reading

I personally do not love reading because i don’t find it that interesting.  Before I read or select a book I would first look at the size of it, and then wonder “am I going to finish the book?” Usually after reading the first two chapters, I get bored.  My mentality of reading, as you can tell, was quite negative and I would constantly find myself asking questions like: What am i reading for? How will it help me with my daily life? What am i going to get out of this material? etc etc.
But I thank God for Megan  White.  She’s a lady who loves reading and she has since inspired me to try harder to read more.  Since the year began i have read three books, and for me this is a very big improvement and has really helped me.  I have enjoyed many benefits and learned several things while reading these books that i can briefly share…
  1. It makes me more open minded
  2. When reading a book I can further understand how to relate to people
  3. Its helps me with communication skills
  4. It helps me share ideas

I am so glad that my interest in reading has grown. I have learned that in order to enjoy reading you just have to find a topic that really interests you or a book that discusses something you are passionate about. Also it helps to not start with a big book that you can’t finish just because you want to impress people. Take something that is easy for you to understand.  Truly i have tried and it has really helped me. I would encourage everyone to try reading, as it really can improve your life.
